My day has been a juxtaposition. But everywhere it was hot

My day has been a #juxtaposition. But everywhere it was hot. #Harringay school run: sweaty at 8.30 this morning. #Piccadillyline: a involuntary sauna at 9.30. #BurwashManor cafe: reasonably pleasant at 11.30. #Royston train station: an al fresco fan oven at 2.15. #FinsburyPark bus stop: second (grimy) sauna of the day at 3.30. The first picture above is the view from the bus stop; the second was my #bucolic view earlier today: a field of #sheep (must improve identification skills) in lieu of the usual resident #alpaca, after some intense planning at the Burwash cafe with my inspiring friend and #techediting client @louisetilbrookdesigns. It was 75% realistic, sensible stuff, and 25% fantasyland — though maybe some of that will come true. In the any-other-business department, it’s the @wildandwoollyshop #knitnight tonight — there’s nothing quite like sitting in an #LYS with a cold glass of something and discussing chunky Icelandic wool. #contrasts #ilovethem #dreamworkisteamwork #knitter #london #socks #urbantorural #cityandcountry #hothotheat #Icanhearanicecreamvan #andschoolchildren #timetopressOK
